Mango Leaf Absolute
Mangifera indica.
Solvent extracted absolute (through concrete) from leaves in Egypt.
Please note this is a very thick absolute, and it's made from the leaves, not the fruit, so it’s much more complex than a “mango” fragrance.
This is a perfumer’s ingredient; it’s thick and rather difficult to work with as it’s not easy to pour—it can be heated gently before use.
The opening is a sweet and large fruity, with tea and orange flower behind it—some leather and traces of wood as it unfolds. The overall sense is juicy fruitiness, with tea, leading into a large floral bouquet with a sense of liquid—water and juice-it’s very rich and redolent and a superb ingredient for fruity, large floral bouquets and will be interesting with pink lotus, sambac, mandarin, osmanthus, and other citruses.
