Lotus has long been considered a flower of the divine—rising above the dark water and mud, clean and fresh, purely divine, can be considered a metaphor for the clean and beautiful soul rising above the earthly concerns, and connecting to the divine, not of this world.

Lotus have been considered holy flowers through millennia, from ancient Egypt, to the ancient civilizations of China, Korea, SE Asia and the near east, Including India and environs, modern Iran, etc.

Pink & White Lotus

These two absolutes are quite similar to each other, although not identical, but the odors are quite similar as are their physical manifestations. Both are dark pink, quite thick but still mobile. Their aroma is can be described as sweet-silky, floral powdery, with a sugar-sweet floral heart and a candy-like, child-like aspect. People say initial scent reminds them of a favorite toy or candy. Both the white and the pink are very pink in color—unless you are familiar with these and have established your own relationship with them for perfumery, you should make a choice based on which one you feel drawn to.
