Spanish Sage

Salvia lavendulifolia

Also called Lavender Sage, perennial, native to Spain and Southern France. Likes to grow near rosemary, and the odor of the oil has something in common with both lavender and rosemary.

Grown, harvested and steam distilled in Spain from the leaves of organically grown plants.

Spanish sage is a little different than sage officinalis. Constituentally, he is similar to Spike lavender. The herb makes a fine tea, with a less harsh taste than officinalis sage.

This oil is often blended with lavandin, spike lavender, and rosemary.

Spanish sage oil is a pale-yellow mobile oil with a fresh -herbaceous, eucalyptol-camphor like odor, a rather sharp pine-like top-note and little or no sweetness on drying out.

Spanish sage blends well with related oils: rosemary, lavender, lavandin, spike lavender, pines, citronella, etc
