The last two years have been device-intense, and that's a mixed bag. On the one hand, aren't you glad we had it? But enough already. Enough with the constant scrolling. Not only does it take our attention away from our actual lives, but it allows us to be manipulated and spied on, to become an actual product for those giant companies like facebook to sell our data to other giant companies.
I'm not saying we should all stop all of this, because we quite obviously can't. But we sure as hell can cut down on it.
As of January 1, 2022, we are making our facebook, instagram, linkedin and twitter channels silent, at least for now. Means our accounts will be up, but just with basic information and all media will point at our website, which we have recently redone and is not exclusively sales-oriented. We will continue to post on those social media accounts if there is a need, but only if.
We encourage you to go outside, and do something physical, like go for a walk, get on your bike, look at birds, go have a picnic.... Or stay inside, and read a book, or write a book! Learn something new, play an instrument, cook something fabulous, learn a new language, anything, as long as it's something you actually want to do, and not just do because it's a habit. Imagine if we scrolled an hour a day, instead of whatever we do now. Or just go sit somewhere with your thoughts. It's way better, right?
Small steps get you there too.
